From July 4 to 6, 2024, the GB/T 3480.5-2021 (ISO 6336-5) Standard Promotion and Advanced Training Course on Gear Materials and Heat Treatment was successfully held in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province. Aimed at thoroughly implementing the GB/T 3480.5—2021 standard, enhancing industry technical capabilities, and fostering exchange and collaboration across the gear materials and heat treatment sector and its upstream and downstream partners, nearly 100 engineers from across the gear industry participated.

The event was hosted by the National Technical Committee for Gear Standardization, CGMA, and CMES, co-organized by Journal of Mechanical Transmission and Journal of Mechanical Strength, and jointly undertaken by Carthing Precision, Zhengzhou Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Fast Auto Drive, Shuanghuan Driveline, Nanjing High Speed Gear, Chongqing Gearbox, and Dalian Innovation Gearbox.

The course concluded successfully, providing a platform for technical exchange and promoting industry standardization.Looking ahead, CGMA will continue to monitor industry trends and technological advancements, regularly organizing similar advanced training courses and academic exchange activities to provide industry professionals with more opportunities for learning, exchange, and collaboration, jointly driving the standardized and high-quality development of the gear field.
