The 17th National Residual Stress Conference and International Residual Stress Conference was held in Zhujiajiao, Shanghai, from October 28 to November 2, 2013. Hosted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Apex Test Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., the event was co-organized by the Materials and Failure Analysis branches of the China Mechanical Engineering Society, alongside the X-ray Diffraction Committee of the Chinese Physical Society. conference was attended by 285 representatives from 183 domestic and international institutions.
