Product introduction

Steel Shot consists of spherical particles produced through a specialized heat treatment of select raw materials. The process begins by melting high-quality steel scrap, which is then atomized using high-pressure water jets to form fine particles. These particles are heated again to ensure a homogeneous structure and then quenched.

Following the quenching process, the pellets are dried and tempered in a furnace to achieve the desired hardness. The tempered steel shot is then sorted by mechanical filters into SAE-compliant grades for use in shot peening and blasting equipment. This precise heat treatment control provides the pellets with optimal elasticity and fatigue resistance.

Steel shot of varying sizes and hardness levels is suitable for different applications. It is widely used for heavy-duty parts and materials, as well as in shot peening processes. Additionally, steel shot is essential for descaling and surface preparation before coating steel workpieces, often centrifugal shot blasting equipment. Because of their spherical shape and moderate hardness, steel shots minimize equipment wear. They are also widely used in the sand cleaning of castings. When paired with the correct equipment, the durability of steel shot makes it the premier abrasive for surface cleaning.
